Do you offer discounts for multiple passports?

Yes we do! Discounts available for additional individuals or group bookings.

How long does it take to receive my photos?

You'll get your photos instantly, with a processing time of about 15 minutes. For infant photos, plan for a  20 minute session to ensure a safe and pleasant experience for both you and your baby.

Is there anything I should or should not wear?

Avoid wearing a white top or shiny makeup. We suggest wearing dark-colored clothing.

The photos must show a full head without any head covering, unless it is worn for religious beliefs or medical reasons. However, the head covering must not cast shadows on the face and the full face must be clearly visible. Head coverings should be dark-colored to provide sufficient contrast. Hats, ball caps, and sunglasses in the hair are not allowed. Please avoid large and reflective jewelry and earrings. We do not recommend any hair clips or hair accessories for children or adults.

Does Life Events Photography take newborn passport photos?

Yes, we do! Baby photos must adhere to the same rules as standard passport photos. They must show only your baby's head and shoulders, with no parent's hands visible in the photo.

We will provide guidance on how to hold the baby without the parent's arms or hands being visible in the photo.

How long are my passport photos valid for?

Passport photos are only valid for six (6) months from the date they were taken.

Can I wear my glasses?

We advise against wearing eyeglasses for passport photos, as even slight reflections or glare can cause rejection by the passport office.

Can infant eyes be closed in a passport photo?

Unfortunately, the subject in the photo must have their eyes open and clearly visible, even for infants.

Can my infant’s mouth be open in a passport photo?

Yes, as long as there are no teeth showing. Passport Canada understands the challenge of obtaining a neutral expression from a baby and allows for minor variations. For older infants and toddlers, it is recommended to bring a small, chewable snack. This helps encourage the child to close their mouth while chewing, making it easier to obtain a closed-mouth passport photo.

What if my photo is rejected?

We offer a 100% money-back guarantee if your passport photo is rejected or we will give you a re-shoot your photos at no additional cost! Proof of rejection (presentation of the official government form) and all original photos are required.
